On the comuter it says check control inact. Does that mean that the check control system is inactive??? If it means that then is that bad, and how can it be fixed? This is a car im looking into buying, i just want to know if this is a big deal before i buy it. Thanks for all your help.

Simple answer, if there's problem with the car and you can't fix it or the owners don't know how to fix it. Just walk away...

You could try resetting all the values. Use this link and see if anything here helps. Its a shot in the dark, but probably worth a try

Brand new 11 button OBC. Installed fine..configured it to speak english at me thanks to tips on how to from this forum.... has been running fine for about 2 weeks...then poof.. "check control inact." and "See Owners Manual"
..and the Owner Manual says to call the retail dealer.
The instructions provided seem to work for the 18button + obc. Does anyone have any info on how to fix this error on an 11 button obc?
