Yet another computer onboard computer question

I am needing to replace the onboard computer for my 1995 325i.This part runs about $600 or so from the dealer.Does anyone have recomendations for where I might locate a replacement and avoid having to go thru the dealer?

Wow. I paid about half that for a brand new unit in 1997. What have they been selling for on ebay?
