Heating & vent and A/C backlighting

Notice while driving at night that the backlighting around the a/c panel, Rotary blower control and the distribution knob wasn't lit. Giving the dash to the right of the unit a firm tap brings the lighting up but as you move any of the knobs the lights go out again. Was wondering if anyone has had this problem and how hard is it to remove the panel to check the connections on the panel. Which way is the best way to go after it ?

Its the bulb inside that going out. Bulb cost like $2 and very easy to repair. Should take you about 15 minutes to replace the bulb.
