Hey fellows! I'm new to the bimmerfest community and I'm very excited
However, I have some dilemma. I am planning to install a navigation system on my car but I have few options which I don't know if I'm making the best decision.

Which would be better to get?
The factory BMW navigation system installed?
or
Pioneer In-Dash Multimedia A/V receiver?

Supposedly the factory made ones will be best for my e46 2005 right? However, if the pioneer one function quite similar to the factory made, wouldn't it be nicer to have dvd player and other multimedia bonuses?

I'm open to other in-dash navigation systems as well as long as the price isn't outrageously high.

Thanks Thanks!!

Please note that the NAV system in a BMW is tightly integrated to many other functions such as the bluetooth telephone connection, onboard computer, the ability to connect to a Sirius tuner and CD changer through the I-Bus. You will probably not have that connectivity with an aftermarket NAV or radio system for that matter.

I am a Pioneer deale.

I would get the OEM system.

But if I didn't, I would wait for the AVIC-Z1 with Bluetooth.
