I just got my new M5 and have tried to sync up my Treo 650 with the car. It works at times , but every time I start the car, it resets the phone automatically and at times keeps reseting it until I have to turn the Bluetooth funtion off.

I have the latest software on the phone. Anybody know what to do?

The first thing I'd do is to make sure it's not some additional software you have installed on the phone that is causing the issue. It's amazing how some seemingly-unrelated application can cause behaviors such as this.

Perform a hotsync, then hard-reset your phone (http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=PalmSupportKB,ts=Palm_External20 01,case=obj(887)#hard). Now, re-pair the bluetooth and see if you experience the same issue.

If you DO, then you know it's not related to any applications you have installed. Did you install the palm bluetooth update? I don't know if it's automatically included in later firmware or not.

If you DON'T have the problem, then you can assume it is some app you had installed. Int his case,

* Go into Palm Desktop and export all of your contacts/calendar info.

* instead of hotsyncing and choosing your hotsync ID, choose a new ID... then re-add your important applications one at a time. You can go into palm desktop as this new hotsync ID and import your calendar/contacts back in..

Hope that helps.

who is your carrier? I just got a 525i last weekend. My Verizon treo 650 does the same thing. It appears from several webstites that this is not supported. I hope they develop a patch soon, because I'm addicted to both.
