Just wondering if anyone would be interested in a turbo kit for E46 3 series. The e46 3 series ecu doesn't like the why a turbo works. I personally don't know why. So my 2001 325i is the prototype I think to believe to be the first to have a turbo installed. You also have to get a new engine management system to replace the stock ECU. The more people I can get interested the faster he will develop the kit. Will post more info in the weeks to come. Meeting him this weekend (Sept. 22) to plan it all out.

Kromex, who can be found on e46fanatics usually, has already turbo'd his 330i. He does have it up and running, but I believe he still has the POT maps to program.

Do you know what boost he is running? Also how can I contact him. Thanks

JawKnee: thanks for the forward.

bimmerparks24: where exactly are you located in the Bay Area and tell me who is it that's going to work on building your prototype? I'm in the Bay Area and I've already turbo'd my 330 and I've been driving it as a daily driver doing stress testing right now. I'm still in the process of tuning the fuel maps at WOT but I have it pretty much down. Just running a little too rich before I reach boost but besides that it's an even 12.0-12.1 after 3000 rpm which produces 317rwhp and 310lbs of torque.

So what's the news on the turbo for your 325? If you're not the first E46 turbo, you could still be the first E46 2.5L turbo car.

Just a warning. A lack of literacy usually signals a poor product...
