So I bought a Sony MEX-R5 In-dash DVD/CD Player (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-dBY7EFdkSLO/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=267150&I=158MEXR5&search=Sony+MEX%2DR5) for my truck (which it's being delivered today). I bought that because I can hook up XM Radio module and be able to burn MP3s on a DVD to be able to store 4.5 gig of music on it. If I like it, I want to get another one for my 2000 328i. Is there a adapter that I can hook up for the sterring wheel radio control function for the Sony MEX-R5?

Oh, I didn't buy the radio from crutchfield, I bought one from http://www.compuplus.com since it was about $135 cheaper.

I'm guessing...call crutchfield and have them sell you the adapter for that radio and your car?

Usually if you buy the radio from them and give them your cars make and model they will include it free, but it's just a wire harness so it shouldnt be that expensive.

I'll call them to see if they have a adapter that can make the sterring wheel radio volume/channel changing work on the radio.

I got that radio installed in my truck today, it's really nice.
