I need an AUX input for my SIRIUS Satellite Radio. I just bought the S50.

I got ahead of myself & bought the "USASPEC DFBMW BMW-COMPATIBLE DUAL AUXILIARY INPUT"

I opened the trunk and took out the left floor panel (where I broke off one of the pins -thats a whole other problem) and there is no cd changer wire or amp.

I have a 2002 320i. Am I out of luck????

Does your car have the "Prewired For CD Changer" badges? If it does, follow LDV330i's lead. If the prewirewiring doesn't exist, try using an FM modulator. Here's how it works: http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/ISEO-rgbtcspd/learningcenter/car/peripherals_installation_guide.html?page=3

Use this link to find the FM-M you need: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-mEjyZwjYJ6B/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?search=fm+modulator&i=142FMMOD01

BTW, if you are a BMW DIYer, a good investment is a door panel remover. It removers those panel pins easily.

Hope this helps...JL

I went out at lunch and bought the door panel remover.
It worked great when removing the side panel. Well worth it.

I was relieved to see the cables sitting above the driverís side wheel well. No need for a FM modulator. I was worried that I wasted my money on that aux input, but I guess not anymore.

It is strange because on the following guide it shows the cables on the floor.

Different year/model must make a difference.

Thank you both for the quick replies.
