I managed to get some pictures off today...the car is awesome to drive...I really have never had a thing for SMG, but this one has changed my mind...to an extent. Anyway, here are the pictures...please excuse how bad they are...I was slightly occupied...;)
Also, on paper I wasn't really wild about the Indianapolis Red...but in person, I really do like it.

David's in Naples.
I rode in this very car today. It's not broken in yet, but even with some teasing bursts of throttle below 5500 rpm, this car sounds and goes like a full blown, high end sports car. Yet it has four doors and comfortable room for four adults. Though I supported the idea of a 6 speed, it's clear that the 7 speed was built around this car and this engine...SMG may make a convert of me, yet.
Bottom line, I'm convinced that the M5 is one of the best all around cars in any segment and any price range available today.

Man...I LOVE Sebring...I was at the 53rd last year and I plan on being at every single one from now on. I actually have probably 4-5 friends coming up with me this year; let me know if you want to meet up. :)

Any idea what the insurance cost is on the M5?
I love my car!! It is smooth and very entertaining. Getting used to the SMG. iDrive is OkK, but not intuitive.
On a personal note, so far the only advantage I have found to getting older (61) is cheap car insurance. Neither car is used for commuting and I pay USAA $576/yr. for my 2005 C-6 Corvette and $624/year for the M-5. I have a good driving record and live in a town with around 100,000 people.
:jawdrop: .......nice looking M5, I was "kind of" jealous when I first saw the thread, and now I'm "really" jealous now that I've seen your other car, the Silver 996 parked in the garage.....:wow: ........must be nice. So which car is the daily driver......the Navigator.....996....or the M5?

I actually switch between my 330Ci and the Navigator...the Navigator is great for towing when I need it and it rides pretty nicely for a Ford. The 996 is slow compared to the M5...it's time for a GT3. :D

Yeah....yeah....yeah....rub it in.....a friend of mine drives a GT2, and he loves it, more than ample power....and I'm sure the GT3 is even better.

Admit it: no, you just like the Navi because you can scream "NAVI ROLL-OUT!" while flashing the stock chrome 18s.
Right?

Ok...you've got me...I am really in it for the Navi-rollout...and the massive torque that 5.4 liter "engine" spits out. It is truly burnout heaven...
Here is the current progress on the "Navi"....

Seriously, Jon, are you gonna get together some of those "Tally-beatz" for me so we can do the E46Fanatics video spoof?
Oh, just incase no one did get the joke...that's definitely not our Navigator...we're still on the stock 18's. :bigpimp:

The picture where you're following the school bus. 50 mph in 7th gear?????? Man, that's pathetic. Ain't no way to drive an M5. Even it's not broken in yet. Get that SMG out of D1. Put it into S3 and drive it like a man. Enjoy.
