I have a Dell Mp3 player and was wondering if there was any way to connect it to my car through the bluetooth connection. I have found a audio bluetooth transmitter that will connect to the headphone jack on my player. I am wondering if that alone will be compatible with the car's bluetooth and allow me to hear my songs over the car speakers.

I have heard that most FM tuners are not of very good quality and there is always some interference. Please, correct me if I am wrong.

I do not have an IPOD so the kit sold at the dealership will not work for me.

Also, is there a way to just directly connect my player to the radio through the player's headphone jack much like a cassette adapter works?

Thanks

There is no way at this point to connect MP3 player with bluetooth. First problem is that car's bluetooth adapter is designed only for cell phone protocol. Second problem is that audio system must be able to decode MP3 file (bluetooth only sends digital singla). I dont believe there are any after market adapter that will be able to connect to BMW audio system.
