Does the 760i have a sports package?

Not an easy question...

You can't order a "Sports-Package" on the 760i, but most of the 750i's sport-package content is already standard on the 760i. Let's have a look on the sports-package content of the 750i and compare it to the 760i:

- 750 comes with 19"-wheels with the package, but 760i has the 20"-wheels standard.
- Shadowline is standard on the 760i as well
- Sport steering-wheel is standard, too.
- Choice of front Comfort or Sport-seats is the same as well.
- ONLY DIFFERENCE: the 760i comes with the Adaptive Ride Package instead of the Sport-Suspension.

So I would say yes, you can get a sport-package on the 760i (at least 90% of it...)..:bigpimp:

Thanks,

That confirms for me that the stiffer sport suspension is not on the 760i:cry: I was hoping with the additional power the stiffer suspension would be there as well (not discounting how well of a job the Adaptive package does). Do you like how your Adaptive Ride Package handles? Softer than Sport?

I think it has a sport mode which stiffens it up?

yes it does. and in fact, sport mode is on by default when you turn on the car, while it is not on by default in 760Li (or other cars with EDC). it even says so on the front page:

The 760i is the sublime culmination of all things BMW–performance, luxury, and technology–united in order to grant the driver an unparalleled experience behind its sport-spoked steering wheel. Beneath the sculpted hood lurks a 6.0-liter, V-12 engine, producing 438 horsepower and 444 lb.-ft. of torque, the power of which is manifested in the massive 20-inch wheels and performance tires, as well as standard Electronic Damping Control suspension with default Sport mode.

there is stiffer suspension. see my other post.

in fact, i felt that 760i in EDC sport mode is even slightly stiffer than my 750i with a plain sport suspension.

why do you want 760i? get 760Li. it will be very hard for you to sell 760i. You can get some nice german aftermarket part for your 760Li if you want to make it sportier.

I totally agree! You get much more car, more options, upgraded interior (see below) for almost the same price! I still don't know why the US-version of the 760i doesn't come with the same interior-upgrades as the 760Li (special two-tone wood, extended leather, Alcantara headliner, wood on the back of front seats etc.). In Germany, both version have the same upgrades..:dunno:

BTW, we'll pick up my Mum's 760Li on Monday, it finally arrived..:bigpimp: It is Black Sapphire Metallic with Natural Brown interior - all options. I'll post some pics next week.

We almost got an M5 but due to the high GG-tax and mark-up, the monthly lease exceeded $1,900 - too much for this car. We ordered this V12-monster and leased it for $2,200/month. Sure, $300 more but you get a lot more car...

Do you know that your 2200 figure per month on that lease is over $72 A DAY! That isn't including gas/insurance or any aftermarket modifications you may make. Wow !!!!!! That is a pretty expensive car rental, huh, but god bless you for being able to swing it)
