Looks like fun........I was amazed to see how close he came to hitting some of those road signs and markers. :yikes:

The disposable income of some people is amazing.

Agree with the previous post. I am totally unimpressed by some dip s&*t abusing a fine piece of machinery like that. Who is trying to impress who(m)? What a waste of time:tsk:

DSC was off.

Yes they are abusing it, but just listen to that V-10 engine note.

Thats a cool video!

My buddy used to do that with his AWD VW Golf VR6? (can't remember exact model) on some private road in K-town.

I agree. It seems like abuse of a fine machine.
But then again, i suspect the E60 M5 will take this kind of abuse way better than most other cars. So if i were to abuse a car this way, (which by the way looks like really good fun) this particular one would be a good choice. ;)

I don't think that's really abuse. Maybe a little bit hard on the clutch, and definitely not good for the tires, but he's not really harming any part of the car.

If you think about it, doing donuts and drifts like that is actually easier on the car than cornering as hard as possible, without any wheelslip*. Yet no one would say that driving an M5 on, say, the Nurburgring would be abusing it.

* Think static friction vs. kinetic friction.

I agree. I don't think it's abuse, other than the tires. It seems more like just seeing what the car can do. The engine note was great. Of course, there's now way I'd ever drive my car like that, even if I knew how:rofl:

Edit: why did the word tires turn into a hyper link? Maybe it has something with Tirerack being a site sponser, now that I think about it

Edit again.... see there you have it

This is exactly why I'll never buy a used M 3,5 or 6 period!

Its either a rich dude who doesnt give a crap about money or some other guy who doesnt give a crap about said rich dude's car. So in that repect it looks like fun.

S#*T, Those friggin punks can't even drive or beat a car decently.
I mean, what kind of production value does someone have where they are in the same frikkin location for the whole 4 minutes of video? I'm surprised that the farmer over in that house didn't call the cops on these stupid punks. If I am doing anything remotely like that, I use my head and CONTINUE down the proverbial road, not sit around and keep doing stupid things with lots of evidence on the road (burn-0ut marks). Jeesh....The stupid kids. I hope they get a ticket or worse, accidentally crash their rig into a sign and do some damage to the car. They deserve it.
Idiots.

I wouldn't have the guts to drive that car like that on those roads. :yikes: The M5 is impressive but it did look like it was too big and heavy to be driven like that.

Kinda reminds me of the Ferrari joyride in "Ferris Bueller`s Day Off"....
I still say it`s an 18-year-old in Daddy`s new car....

Stupid punks with Dads car. Could you imagine Dad coming home in the car pool and coming upon this scene seeing his stupid kid standing in the road with a video camera??
Ha!

I'd be willing to bet that one gets wrecked pretty soon.
