View Full Version : Drivers seat leaning badly

My Sons M3 driver seatback is leaning back on the right side further than the left side. I've heard of this before on the power seats (cable) but these seats are manually reclined. Has anyone had this problem and know the solution for this?:dunno:

This isnt due to "gangster" lean?
The only time I've seen this is in a car where the driver drove exactly like his seat position - hung over the middle console with only his left hand on the wheel. After a while, his seat was permanently deformed like that. It sucked for anyone else to drive the car, and he had to get a new drivers seat to sell it.

No gangsta stuff here. Just a daily driver with a twist, so to speak. Anyone?

I have a 1997 M3 sedan with power seats and the drivers seat back is not perfectly straight. It causes the driver to lean towards the center of the car. When I was looking for a car I noticed that a good number of cars, without the center arm rest, has similar seat charactoristics. I'm not positive this is the problem, but I suspect it is part of the cause. Let me know if you find a way to straighten out the seat back.
