I have the parts, and was planning on doing this job myself, but thought I'd check with my shop to see how badly I wanted to do it. I've read all the write-ups, and it looks pretty straighforward. Am I missing something?

for $400, do it yourself....this isn't a difficult procedure if you are at all mechanically inclined.

The only things I'm worried about are getting the old bushings out, and getting the new offset ones lined up right. I've seen suggestions about having a machine shop press the new bushings in, and then pressed on the arms. Others say to freeze the bushing, and heat the bracket and just whack them in. How about getting the bushings back on the arm and lined up?

E46 bushings with the carriers. That makes that job a snap!! Don't think E36 has that optioin. :dunno: If not, take the carriers and the bushings to a shop to have the old ones pressed out and install the new ones. Wouldn't think it would cost any more that $20-30
