History of service performed...

Hi,
Do you know if there is a history of service performed on a car maintained by BMW? For eg., if I perform an INSPECTION 1 at one dealership, and I take my car for an oil service at another dealership, then would the 2nd dealership be able to know that I frequent some other dealership than his?

Yes, there is a history sheet. When I took my BMW (used) into my local BMW it had the previous owners personal info and service info. and she lives in a different state and took it to her local dealer.

This is how I found out if my car had Inspection one done.

Why worry? You signed an agreement to purchase your car from a dealership. You didn't sign anything that makes you take it to a specific dealer for service. Ok, there's the customer loyalty thing, which i'm sure is what you're concerned about and you may have a point. However, free country = do whatever you want. :)

But if you're legally married to your car, then it wouldn't be a good idea to park it in someone else's garage. :p
