Hi People,

Newbie here, and yeah, same old can these rims/tires fit my car type of questions? I looked up the sizes that fit my vehicle on Tirerack.com, my questions are this:

Without having to lower/drop/doing anything with the fender etc... which rim should I go with, a 17" or 18" set of rims? I'm not looking to have to lower or drop the vehicle any, but at the same time, I don't want the 4x4 look.

So without doing anything special, is it probably 17"s I have a better chance with?

Tirerack lists these as the proper sizes:
17x8 or 17x7.5
225/45-17
5-120 bolt pattern

18x8 or 18.7.5
225/40-18
5-120 bolt pattern

Right now on my vehicle are some stock rims/tires, tires are 205/60-15.

Any advice or comments are much appreciated.

Thanks.

Either setup would fit fine and would not *require* that you lower the car. Both setups have the same overall diameter. Even though the gap isn't actually changing, some of the setups like 18" setup can make it look that way. If you're never looking to lower your car, you may want to stick with 17" on the E36. 18" will be mostly a cosmetic difference.
