To answer your question.......... My '98 M3 runs a Dinan SS exhaust w/ cold air and chip... Its sounds absolutely incredible. Deep, throaty, mean and definitely turns the rice burners heads and any other motorhead when I open it up. Was dyno'd at 275HP.

It is quiet and a bit throaty at normal speeds and driving. Not an attention getter UNLESS you romp on it. Definitely worth considering.

If you really, really want to turn heads (and you have deep pockets)....

Get Supersprint headers and run straight pipe (cat delete) to a Supersprint race exhaust.

Then get this...

No MAF, so you'll have to spend some dyno time tuning the Alpha N.... the end result, however, will be an E36 that sounds like NOTHING you've ever heard.

i love my ac schnitzer exhaust.-not too loud, but you know i'm there. especially at wide open throttle
