Opinion on a car

I'm looking at a 1998 323is. Asking price is $7000. Black with black interior. Automatic. Looks great inside and out. The seller is a small used car dealer (maybe 10 cars on the lot), registered with better business bureau. No complaints. He bought the car from a new car dealer who got it on a trade in. He replaced front and rear brakes and water pump. I plan to have a mechanic look at it before a buy, but before I do that, I'd appreciate any opinions. The miles are on the high side, but I don't plan on driving it more than 5K miles/year, which means I've got 7 years before I hit 150K.
