I am thinking of ordering a KONI 1130-Sport Kit package for my '92 325i E36 Saloon.

It has a worn out rear driver's side shock that is rattling over bumps and it is starting to affect the handling on corners when I ride over bumps on that side, so I think I also need new HD Rear Shock Mounts too. I will have the mechanic also check to see if the bushings are due for replacement as well.

After owning this ride for 2 years, its time to improving the handing! I enjoy driving through the twisties at a good clip in everyday driving, and want to start some amateur autocross events when I put on the Summer Rims and sticky Kuhmos.

Both my Winter and Summer only tires are stock for '92 15 inchers; I am a sucker for low rotational inertia! I want something like the 1130s, not the ride adjustables.

I am not afraid to lose some comfort in exchange for improved handling. Performance is more important to me than looks and style.

What are your thoughts or suggestions... :dunno:

Komis are always good, and the 1130's are pretty serious, I approve. Bimmerworld has some good HD rear shock mounts, I just bought a pair, $89 for the two. You might want to think about sway bars and maybe a strut brace or two, UUC of course. 15in wheels are fine, but maybe go with some SSR's or Team Dynamics, 15x7 or 8. How much are you going to drop it? New tires might be in order...

T, you packed a lot into your post! :wow:

Sway Bars are in the far future, but Strut Braces will be installed later this year!

I live the factory wheels I have the Kuhmos on. I might have them polished, but then I would have to be anal about keeping them spotless... :thumbdwn:

The Sport Kit drops the front 40 mm (1.6 inches) and the rear by 25 mm (1 inch), but for me its the performance, not the look that drives me...
