Status 152 (Paint Shop) as of today.

The wait is KILLING me, I tell you, KILLING me!

Seems like forever once you put the order in.

Hope this helps you feel better, I went from 152 to 193 in 4 days (12/3 to 12/7). But took 6 days to 195 (12/13).

Now I have to wait for ship to come in on 12/27. To make things worse the holidays will probably delay my delivery. Hoping for pick up on the 5th.:D

Never posted on this subject before, but I remember that I had to wait 3-months for my car. (FYI, I live in Germany). I know, it's a pain. Do what I did: Almost everday I went to the dealership. We became almost brothers with my sales rep. I invited him for a dinner etc. (it helped a lot on the leasing rate :)) This way he helped me to test drives some other models. I even test drove an Alpina B3 (ask VinceTopas). Pick some cataloges, brochures etc.

You get just a little tease of the magic, and then you have to give it up (I cried at the EH Harms in Frankfurt) for like a month, but then, you get to experience the joy of picking it up again a second time (all nice and shiney, like my hiney), so I guess it's worth it.

:D

That DOES help... I can only be so optomistic with the holidays, however. I hope they're not drinking too much Christmas schnapps on the factory floor, too! :)

Sounds good... following a similar timeline, I guess I'd expect pick up January 23 or so...

I kinda wish I could go into hibernation or some sort of cryo-freeze for a month!

Well, I live in L.A., and ordered from Cutter in Santa Barbara. That's about a 90 minute drive, one way, during off-peak traffic. (Off peak traffic in southern California is from about 2am to 2:15am. :p )

As much as I like Franco and Jon, I don't have that kind of dedication. I just taunt myself by posting here and reading.

Oh, yeah... I heard there's a great guy at Cutter that is the go-to guy for a BMW. I think his name is John Shafter. Or something like that...
