Quick question - I have 2 used tires, and I'm replacing the other 2 with brand new (got 2 flats, and yes same brand tires). Is it better to put the new tires on the front wheels or on the rear? Which one wears faster? BTW my xi is AWD, but I'm curious in general for RWD/FWD as well

FWD tends to burn off fronts, street driven RWD tends to burn off rears, AWD tends to wear equally.

Best to put them on the rear. That way the car will tend to understeer, rather then snap spinning and going off backwards.

I was thinking that since brakes wear faster on the front, front tires will probably tend to wear faster as well even with the AWD. On the other hand, more power goes to the rear wheels (67%) so that may even it out. Anyway, thx for the input
