I'm thinking about upgrading my factory 17" rims and run-flat tires (standard on US config E90 2006 330i). Has anyone else done this? How did it affect noise, ride, handling, etc?
I recently tried a set of 18" M3 wheels on my car, and surprisingly there was less noise - I guess the run-flats have much thicker side-walls that generate more noise/firmness.
I'd also like to hear about any great wheel/tire combos that people have used. I don't want to spend a fortune - but want something sharp.
