Well, the model year 2007 is about three to four weeks away. So, the 06's will be a year old in that amount of time. So, how much over/under invoice should a person be paying for a new 06 525i? I am not talking ED, I am talking buying from a U.S. Dealership, specifically in California.
Thank you.

Well unless there is trunk money you won't get under invoice, there's no "holdback" to factor in. Assuming no trunk money I'd say you might get $750 or so over invoice on a car that has been sitting for a while, maybe a stripper. Also be sure what you mean by "invoice" as Southern California dealers as least have MACO which is on top of the base invoice.
If you go browsing on the lot check the date on which the Monroney (window) sticker, it's down towards the left-center bottom in very small print. If it's a car that's been sitting for some time there might be a reason and so you might be able to squeeze. Otherwise it seems the dealers have had no trouble moving 5s especially with the good lease numbers on some of the 5-series models. Just my opinion.
