Hi. I am in need of a center bearing for a 1986, 6 cylinder, 5 speed, 325 ES. More specifically, it is the ball bearing assembly encircled by a rubber mount that is pressed onto the rear end of the front section of the drive shaft and is secured by a snap ring. It's also protected by two dust caps on either side. I don't really know where to look for the part, and would like to see if any one out there has one, or can recommend where I can buy a new one. I'm hoping I won't have to go to the dealer. I would even purchase a used one in good condition, if any one has it available.

Well, Bimmerfest has done it again! I was looking for the center bearing, and while reading through other posts, some brilliant soul out there mentioned Bavauto...so I went there...and indeed...there was/is the part I need for a mere 35.00, 43.00 with shipping. Bridget ( my 86 325 ES), thanks you with all her torque and smooth cruise. Every time I visit here, I am reminded of the importance of reading!
