I'm planning on putting 18 x 8.5 rims with 225/35/18 tires. Would these fit without rubbing the inner fender well??? If so what would be a good alternative, but still be 18"? thanx

I've seen a few E30's with 18"s. Not sure of the width of the wheels, but I know finding the correct offset is crucial. You will have to roll the inner lip of the fender too. This is to prevent the wheel from rubbing inside the fender when turning the wheels. I've even seen guys use a baseball bat to do this.
18's are way too tall for an e30 imo, 17's at most, 16's are perfect, 15's for track duty.
Believe it or not, there's a guy on another forum running 19's:tsk:

I would have to agree with you on that "egk2" 19's are a little extreme. I'm rolling on 17's and they seem just right. What kind of rims are those? I love the deep dish look, wouldn't mind those for a track set. Also, how many inches did you lower your car, it looks like the perfect combination

My wheels are Cr7's 16x9, I'd run 15x8 with 225/50/15's for the track, these are street
wheels. I'm lowered on KW 60/40's and Bilstein dampers.

^ I really have to ask - what if you hit a speed bump or a pothole with the car that low? Could something horrible happen?

^ That's a great pic.
The front lip on mine has been gone for some time. I noticed it was a little loose one morning when I was leaving for work. "Hmm... have to take a look at that," I thought. When I arrived home that evening the lip had flown the coop.

You don't hit potholes with this car:rolleyes:, seriously though I commute 10 mis to work and the roads are flat and well maintained, I'm used to having a lowered car, my e36 was slammed too.

Well maintained roads, that must be nice. The roads in Calgary are terible. It's like trying to avoid hitting a land mine. I've actually been pulled over by the Police. They said I was swirving in and out of traffic, and looked to be intoxicated. I was just trying to avoid a raised man hole cover
