My understanding is that you should change the cone filter on the ECIS intakes after ~ 15,000 miles:dunno:
I got mine with 6k on the clock I added about 4k so I wanted to be prepared.
Where is the best place to get them? Best price? Different brands?
TIA

They're re-usable. Just buy a K&N filter charger kit, clean it out and recharge the oil...A single kit is good for up to 5 recharges.

In fact, that's how K&N filters are supposed to be used... The filter is supposed to last the life of your vehicle, only needing to be cleaned and re-oiled every 30-50k miles or so (this procedure can be performed up to 25 times before the filter must be replaced). Interestingly, K&N claims that the filter works better when it's dirty -- traps particles better, without restricting air flow. Check out the explanation here (http://www.knfilters.com/facts.htm#PAPER).
