I just have a question for all you guys about the "e" engines. From ive seen around the e engines are 2.7's and make a 130hp..why is this? My 2.5 i makes a 170hp and its a smaller engine. Were the e's made for the econemy hence the "e"?

Exactly... it stands for "efficent" and it was developed for increased fuel economy

thanks for that man, because i passed up a lot of good deals of those cars when i was lookin for a bimmer, good thing i went with the i. O ya one more question i have a 325i and its a convert but shows no signs of ever saying i"C" which is what i though meant convertable..?

Are you referring to the trunk badge? Even if it is a convertable, it will only have the "i"

Yep, more torque than an I. :DYes they due, but run out of horsies needed to smoke an i :D Pecking order for e30's is still the same 1.8's ->2.7 ("etas"), 2.5i, 2.7 stroker,M50(M52),S50(S52).
