2003 m5 phone system

hello to all

I need to find out how to upgrade the phone system in my father in law's 2003 m5. He had a 99 540 that had a phone system that was voice activated. You would think that the m5 would have had had it but no. Does anyone have info on how to upgrade the system to make it voice activated.
