Why the insult?I believe that no insult was intended. This just seems to be the only pictorial way of repeating your comment.:dunno:

Definitely no insult intended. In the forums I spend most of my time, this is used frequently to show that you agree.

Thanks for the link! Maybe I can get that clock up and running now.

hrm, maybe i'm just not getting it, but shouldn't this work with dashboard in Mac OS 10.4 without having to download the yahoo! widget program? I can't seem to get it to work on my mac though....:dunno:

ditto.

I can download it fine, but cannot get Dashboard to recognize it.
Even dumping the BMWClock.widget folder in HD/Library/Widgets and rebooting the Finder does not get it...

Gorgeous work though!

I think I know why. The Widgets are written for Konfabulator, not Dashboard. Saurav, if you don't mind me poking at your code, I'd be happy to take a look at the source to see if I couldn't make a Dashboard-compatible version.

I am going to try this on my ibook (Mac) later after work. Will update the same on blog and forum.

I found you can set the regular clock to the M3 logo too! You can also add / remove the numerals, change the transparency, size of the clock, and some other stuff! I did the weather widget, too.

Thanks for the link saurev27

Mac User before downloading the file visit http://widgets.yahoo.com/mac/ and follow the instruction and after you are done click on download link to download both clock. I tried on my ibook and it worked like charm for me.

Any expert mac user can provide more details into this ??

Why would a Mac user running Tiger (10.4.x) that includes a native widget engine (Dashboard) want to install the Yahoo widget engine?

http://homepage.mac.com/mulls/dashboard1.jpg

Your clock definitely looks awesome, but running two widget engines just to see it is inefficient.
Surely I am not the only Mac user on Tiger.

It would be nice if the BMW clock showed up on the task bar.

I don't see BMW Clock in there

That's the point. You're looking at a screenshot of Dashboard, the widget manager that's built into Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger). Previous versions of OS X (i.e. 10.3 and below) do not have Dashboard. Saurav, what version of Mac OS X does your ibook run? I'm guessing 10.3.9, which would explain why you don't have Dashboard.

The point is, no one wants to run the Yahoo! widget manager if they've already got Dashboard from Tiger. Simply put, widgets written for Konfabulator (aka Yahoo! widgets) will not run in Dashboard.

My offer still stands - if you want to post your source, I'll see if I can't make a Dashboard-compatible version of the clocks. :)
