I was wondering if you think that headers would be a good upgrade??
For the money ($1295) do you think that the gains are sufficient (7hp, 18ft-lbs torque)??
Help me out guys??

Not if you still have an exhaust with a cat convertor in it....the cat will negate the HP gain by just adding headers....I just saw a DINO sheet on 2 m3's one with aftermarket headers and one stock....no change in hp at wheel....said reason was the cat on each......I would save another $1000 and buy the Dinan stage one kit for $2200.

we just put a nice complete set of kromekraft exhuast on the 95 325i SCCA ITS car and sounds great and i am thinking it ran about 2600 or so.

YOu can also add a high flow race cat that will keep you street legal and give higher flow.
But headers, like other mods, really need to be part of a complete setup. No need for more exhaust flow unless you increase intake flow, etc.

You're not going to see an improvement from just headers. You may get a higher peak horsepower number but lose torque throughout the low and mid rev band. With a full exhaust - headers, high-flow cats and cat-back you may see some gain if you have custom tuning done but if you're not going to go that far with it - skip it.
