Hi. Just to want substantiate something here. For the tax on my lease payments, I should pay this to the state of residence? Meaning, the DMV here?

Thanks

Sales tax applies to whatever state you are registering the vehicle in.

And everything I've read says to sign off a waiver at the out-of-state dealership for payment of sales/use tax, and pay it directly to your appropriate state-of-residency agency instead. Anybody?

Fletch!

If you are leasing through BMWFS, they will collect the tax for your state along with your lease payment, and forward it to your state DMV.. You won't have to do anything... BMWFS is located in Ohio, and they do leases for the entire country..

It doesn't matter where you buy the car..
