Hello, and thanks in advance for any info you can pass on.
My prized ' 02 330Ci was recently victim of a rear-ender. After months and months the car has finally been deemed a total.
The adjuster, suprisingly enough, is allowing me to keep my brand new PS2s and my BMW M-Series wheels (pic enclosed) provided I replace them with another alloy set. Since it's a junker I don't think it matters to them as long as they're alloys.
Here's my dilemma; I don't know what model these wheels are. I don't know what alloys will bolt up to them in the same pattern.
I thought I heard of a formula that wheels follow. Something like a "five on three" configuration. Five lug pattern and three inches between.
This is the BMW tire configuration:
F=225/40 ZR 18
R=255/35 ZR 185
I have access to a five-lug Mitsubishi set that comes off an Eclipse (pic enclosed). They're free so my fingers are crossed.
Without loading the prospective Mitsu-wheels in a truck, driving there and actually trying the swap, how can I make a educated decision?
Thank you again.
