A dude in CA bought a 2002' Bluewater Metallic M5. He took off down the road, flooring it to 80 mph and enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left on his head. "This is great", he thought as he roared down I-15. He pushed the pedal to the metal even more.

Then he looked in his rear view mirror and saw a highway patrol trooper behind him, blue lights flashing and siren blaring. "I can get away from him with no problem...what with the extra power I have due to these mysterious Sebring exhausts" thought the man and he tromped it some more and flew down the road at over 100 mph. Then 110, 120 mph.

Then he thought. "What am I doing? I'm too old for this kind of thing." He pulled to the side of the road and waited for the trooper to catch up with him.

The trooper pulled in behind the Beast and walked up to the man. "Sir," he said, ! looking at his watch. "My shift ends in 30 minutes and today is Friday. If you can give me a reason why you were speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go."

The man looked at the trooper and said. "Last year my wife ran off with a CHP, and I thought you were bringing her back."

"Have a good day, sir," said the trooper.

Are you looking to get a E60 M5 with the SMG or just a standard 6 or 8 cyclinder E60?

I'm with you on that one....for some reason I just can't get used to the E60......I prefer the E39.

I traded my M5 for a 650 coupe with Steptronic for the same reason. The 650 coupe is just about as fast as the E39 M5 because it weighs 200# less. Unless you're going to use it on the track or must have 4 doors, there is not much reason to spend the extra 10-15 grand on a new M5. Besides the 6 is better looking.

I like the new 5 better than the 6. I'm not really into the 6 styling, but since I can't afford both...I would be happy with the 6
