i previously posted the NO HEAT+OVERHEATING THREAD.
problem solved! $374 bucks for a local trusted mechanic to do it though. that sucks becuase i always do my work myself, but after taking apart my whole cooling system 4 times, and breaking a pulley, draining about 5 gallons of coolant, frankly i am happy to pay. i replaced the radiator, thermostat, and water pump. also did a trans fluid remove and replace, fixed the tailights. changed the oil, fixed the cd-changer, junk yarded a handful of parts, and thoughly cleaned/waxed the car. i have put on clear corners and side markers, i have a CAI waiting to go on, and i had to replace the hood shocks. i also had a friend do some paintless dent removal and he really cleaned up some panels on the car.
i have owned this car for about 3 1/2 weeks now. i paid $2,650 for the car and have put about $550 into it. sum it up $3200 for 325 w/ 144k on it. all in all i am very happy with my purchase.
i am hoping the mechanical drama is over, and i can start enjoying this car.
