I've had my new CPO'ed '02 M5 for about aweek now and I'm lovin' it. The wife made me trade in my '04 S4 avant and my '99 6-speed 540i for it. Not quite sure if it was worth it yet. However, living in NC I don't think I'll miss the AWD of the AUDI. Although it had a mean V-8. Hello to everyone and I'll be posting some pictures this weekend after I wash this monster.

Sounds like fun. Looking forward to seeing some photos. What color combination/options does the car have?

I suspect you will NOT be regretting your trades! Just try to wipe the smile from your face every morning as you drive away in your M5!
Congrats!
Congrats on your recent purchase.....and welcome to the 'Fest. I hopefully will be joining you in the upcoming months when I replace my 540iA with a M5. We look forward to seeing pics of your new beauty.

I have carbon black exterior and black interior. Although in direct sunlight the car looks like dark blue. It's really cool! The car is actually in the shop right now getting some minor warranty work done. It's been at the stealer all week long and should be back tomorrow. They gave me an 06' 325ci as a loaner. Pretty cool little car.

Also, www.m5board.com E39 M5 messageboard is THE home of info on the M5.

Congrats!!!
Were you at the car wash in Devon yesterday?
I think I might've seen you.
(-Black Maserati)
Nope, I hand wash all my vehicles so must be someone else. But that car wash place in Devon is really good as I've seen my friends bring their cars there and they do an awesome job.

They do!
(I visit car washes rarely too, but all of our car washing stuff is in storage!--waiting for house to be built)
Place is pretty affordable, $40 for a detailing...that's not bad.
Must've been someone else with the same car as you.
