whats included in the trunk?

hi all,

just got a new x3, my mistake was not to check if anything was missing in the trunk. so my questions is when you lift the flap where the battery is located, i see 2 empty spaces on the left hand side. is there suppose to be anything there? first aid kit, emergency sign, etc...

I had the same question to the dealer. There is no emergency kit or a sign. But there should be a small tool set including a screwdriver and some wrenches. Some of the spots are reserved for the rail clips (in case you have the bike rails) or the tongue for the towing.

Look at it this way, you've got some hidden storage space!

did you miss the third empty space ( it's on the left ) we keep the key to our locking lug nuts in it

My x3 has two tool box at the back.
One located on the left side of the left rail. 2nd one located besides the battery.
If you dont have it, go back and ask them why.. they will probably give you back..

The larger of the two spaces ( the one closest to the bumper ) is used to store the ski bag if you get the cold weather package. Not sure about the other one.
