does a 325i have a turbo charger? what is that "swoosh" sound when i punch the gas?

duh :) i have an 88 mustang that i put a turbo charged 4 cyl in but i'm not a mechanic or anything -- new to bimmers -- my 325i sounds like my mustang when it takes off

It might be the blow off valve on the side of your head... :dunno:
(not the cylinder head)

blow off valve! when you shift you hear pssshhh.. thats the best sound in the world!
