Hi, I have purchased a 1995 318is from a family member, the side skirts are faded and need to be re-painted I guess, can someone help steer me in the right direction?
I did see on bavarianauto.com, that there were M-Style side curtains available, to cover up the jack holes, would this be an option for me, or should I just re-paint what I have?
Thanks,
Tye:)

Tye, it really depend if you want the "M3" look and could spend $$$ to achieve that look, that's if money is of no concern. But if you just want to clean it up alittle, you could remove the side-skirt and color match it to your car. All you need is couple can of primer, order color match from your local auto paint store. Spend couple of hours on a hot sunny day and in no time, it would look great...

The "side skirts" aren't faded....from 92-95, the rocker panels were just painted with a gray protective coating. From 96 on, they came standard with actual side skirts. Yes, getting M3 side skirts would make the car look great, it's a way to fix your problem, plus an improved styling bonus. Many people take this path. Go for it.

Thanks for the information.
I would like to try the M3 look, but I better wait until I can afford to get it all done the right way, so I will try to clean it up a little.
