When I push the the temp button is says ext temp -35 F and the F flashes for a few seconds. Does anyone know why this is? And it is not -35 here. More like 65.

change your temp sensor outside. i am guessing it is bad or unpluged.

Is there a beep too? A little beep will sound and the "F" will flash when the temp goes below 37 F. (The roads could be icey at this temp...) New temp sensor.

Your temp sensor may be broken, or the connection to it loose/broken. Check the wiring and let us know what it looks like. Otherwise, you may be able to check the sensor for resistance to test whether the actual sensor is broken, or not. If I can dig out my Bentley's book I'll take a look once I get back to my home state. Let us know what you find after checkin' the wiring!

On bavauto.com it is $22.95. Thanks for the info. I am a single Mom and very car illiterate. Are these fairly easy to replace? And where is it located? Oh, btw, it doesn't beep or anything, just has a negative reading and never changes.
