If it wet the computer is the computer damaged or does it just need to be dried?

possible computer toast. let it dry for a day and u might be good.

Once my sister-inlaw spilled a 8oz glass of soda on a laptop keyboard, they drained it and let it dry and it started to work again after that and it is still going 2yrs later.

Let it dry and check all the fuses, if that doesn't work then get out the hamer and duct tape.

Is this 325i the new body style? Or the e 30 old school car? I know that my cabriolet 325i 1992 was the last year they made that body style. They made the hard tops that year in the new body style. Let us know

A few weeks ago:

In a hurry today, and took my 1995 325i to a "hand wash" car wash. Subsequent difficulty starting, misfires, stalling, and wild 0-9K RPM tach needle swings. MPG indicator swings, too. Cruise control doesn't engage.

I've read in other forums and posts that there's a possibility of ECM/DME compartment flooding post car wash or downpour, although I can't find them at the moment. Any comments? Where's the darned ECM/DME compartment, anyway? Is this something that I can drain/fix quickly?

Any help would be appreciated. Drove back to work at highway speeds, and the misfires stopped, no stalling, but the tach/MPG indicator and CC are still on the fritz.

Jefe - after the compartment drained, all of the systems came back up. Check the ECM/DME compartment on the passenger side firewall (thanks to Dudesky for this).

Good Luck! I'm sticking to home washing from now on...

I had the same problem after a car wash. Dry it out and wash your car by hand from now on. Been there, done that. My $5 car wash cost me $90 bucks, a day of work, and a favor to borrow a car.
