You need to find out which codes

:tsk: p1189, p1188,p1250,p0300,p0303,p0304,p0305 there were more the first time i went to get it check out they reset the computer told me to come back when engine light came back on these were the ones left when last diagnosed!

Well here's what the codes mean:

p1189 -Pump Speed Signal Fault ( fuel being injected is too low? )
p1188 -Calibration Memory Fault
p1250 -PRC Solenoid Circuit Malfunction
p0300 -Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
p0304 -Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected
p0305 -Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected

Obviously the 4th and 5th cylinders are misfiring. How old are the spark plugs? Are the coils good?

I'm not sure that 1188 and 1250 are exactly.
1250 may be clogged injectors/filter as a result of running out of gas(?)
1188 may be related to fuel control and coils as well.

Looks like you may have some bad coils.

I would guess you've probably got some bad coils. They cost about $80 last time I checked. I think you can also test the coils for resistance but that doesn't necessarily mean they are bad. If you don't have any idea when the spark plugs were changed last you should change them. I've heard that in some cases the coil packs can melt, you may want to pull them all off and compare for warping/cracking...

ok thanks so much but so just from the spark plugs and coils being bad all these codes would come up thats normal?

It seems like they could all be related; yes. That is definately a starting point. From there you should begin to get rid of codes from the computer.

Good Luck!

Oh I forgot to ask - have you ever run the car out of gas completely?

Another Cyl 5 misfire, one of your pre-cat o2 sensors is bad, and one of your post-cat o2 sensors is bad as well..

So; 2 bad coils, (get new plugs just because) and 2 new o2 sensors. :bling:

Probably:
Coils $80 x 2 = $160
New Spark Plugs $5 x 6 = $30
New O2 sensors $85 x 2 = $170.

About $350...

Did you have a chance to take a look at the coils? I suppose you could swap the coils on 5 and 6 to like 1 and 2 and clear the computer codes to see if it comes back up with a code on 1 and 2. Just to be sure it's coils... If it's not coils that could save you some money.
