NY/NJ Meet: April 22/23 : Who wants to go?

-I know that there were some Meet threads in the past....but I want this one to count...

-Who is serious about setting up/going to a meet on Sat. April 22 or Sun. April 23?

-Please Reply with Yes, I want to go, or No I cant make it that weekend...
-Please Reply with what day works best for you (Out of the 2 days above).
-Please Reply with suggestion for Location.

-I will Add up all of the posts in a Spreadsheet and post it on here...we only have Aprox. 4 weeks so lets make this happen....I's love to meet most of you in person and feel like I know some of you already.....

If it's a weekend I am pretty sure it would be ok. I went there for college.
The parking lots are empty then and they have A LOT of parking lots. Maybe like 20. Also they have open fields. There are so many places you can put 30 BMWs without a problem. Also, there's a lot of places for good photo ops.

I just don't want to attract the attention of campus security. If we were to get kicked out, we would be hard pressed to find somewhere to go.

i dont think we will. we can also call up the school ahead of time and ask for permission. We can just say we would like to take a few pictures and leave. CW Post is open to the public I believe on the weekends anyway.

So looks like we have zero'd in on April 23rd Sunday. Though central NJ would be close to me, I am perfectly ok with Englewood Basin, Jones Beach or CW Post/Bayville Beach.

There are two great picture opportunities. One is by the jones beach toll booths I mentioned earlier with all BMWs parked next to a booth. The next is if there arent that many cars, to park it all by the front of the pencil in front of field 4. I think you are allowed to stand by the curb with the car. If it's really deserted (which it wont be if its nice out) we can take one around the pencil. That would be really cool but I highly doubt that would be possible. Does anyone know of a professional photographer or anyone with a good camera?

Found a rather useful Jone Beach website

Lots of info on this website. Go to the map link and there is a link for Field 6. Looks like Field 6 is very popular. In the summer Field 6 can get filled by 9.00 am. We need to decide on the backup Field just in case Field 6 gets packed to capacity by 12.00pm. My two other choices would be Field 2 and Field 1. I am attaching a picture of the Jones beach map with Field locations for everyones information.

I will also try to do a count of all attendees. ( I will collate from all the websites, bimmerfest, e90post, E46fanatics and e90fanatics)

Just a headss up we are going to be meeting at our back-up location.....

The time is still the same 12pm EST

Bay Terrace Shopping Center - entrance in the middle of 26th Avenue between Bell Blvd. and Corporation Kennedy (movie theater entrance).

Indoor garage is past Movie Theater - so drive past the theater into the garage.

Garage is too far away from shopping center for people to use so it will be empty for us.
