325iS 2nd gear, GONEEEEEE!

:dunno: i was riding along today, got to a stop light , began to drive, and as i put the shifter into 2nd, the only response i gota was the same respone i would get from a neutral gear.

Now im driving from 1st to third gear!
but does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem may be, or an estimate cost to fix this! thanxxx

My second gear is gone too. I'm about to buy a new transmission. It only goes in when it feels like it. Does it grind at all?

go underneath the car and look to see if the linkage on top of the transmission is all connected
