I've got a friend who's in the market for a new or used car within the next few months. Here's his requisites:

- $20k tops. If it's a shade over, I think it'll be okay, but not like $5k over.
- manual transmission
- good audio system w/ subwoofers OR a system that can be easily replaced.
- It's gotta be safe......not just good crash test ratings but something you yourself would feel confident driving 80mph in.
- nothing domestic. His parents won't consider them.
- Preferably something "different", as in somethin everyone doesnt already have.

Even as a car enthusaist, I found this pretty difficult, which is why I'm asking the general public for recommendations. I have checked out the classifieds on Bimmerfest and the CPO inventories, but BMWs don't depreciate much and it's better if its a used car that's not more than 4 years old. So does anyone have particular suggestions?

Are you trying to sell? (I'm guessing from your "mein auto").

I'd pick a slightly-used RSX-S at that price point.
