fuel issue

iown a 1995 318is coupe,the car has covered 85000 miles with a full service history.my problem is that i only get about 300 miles to about £40 of fuel,is there anything i can try or change to improve this,i use more than this if i drive the car hard.....any info would be appreciated....david

As long as your injectors and filters are clean, and your tires are full (on the top and bottom)
and exhaust doesn't have some small unfortunate woodland creature disposed within it.... You should be running decently close to where you ought to.
