what is the typical distance travelled before you replace your tires.

I have 31 k miles (20% hwy and 80% city) and the service guy told me to start looking for tires within the next couple of thousand miles. Strangely enough, friend of mine who is a rather aggressive 325 driver, ran his original tires for 66k miles before getting them replaced.

Your experience...

I'm a decently aggressive driver and at 13k miles, I already need new rear tires... they'll be gone within the next 2-3k for sure. I think they were overinflated for a while as they have worn more down the middle (of course right where the wear bumps are). The fronts are lookin like they have at least another 10k in them, if not 15k. I have Michelin Pilot Sports btw, what do you have and what did your friend have?

If you have high-performance super-sticky tires, you're probably going to only get about 20K at best out of them. I remember going in for a normal tune up with my Boxster and they told me it was time to replace the tires. Indeed, that made my simple tune up that much more expensive (3x)!
