My 318ti interior pillar fabric is sagging. Any suggestions on how to remove pillars and how to repair/replace. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Do you mean the bolster. I bought new bolster from BMW UK for £25.00. Not expensive

I had this problem in my ti when I bought it here is a quick fix I did:

1. Remove the A Pillar cover by pulling it towars you....
2. Remove the fabric by pulling it....
3. Clean the surface under the fabric and then spray on some glue (don't put too much because it will seap through the fabric) and put the fabric on top of it. You have to stretch out the fabric to get all the air bubbles out...
4. Let the glue dry for a couple of hours and then pop it back in your car ( be careful not to break the plastic clip holders )

Estimated time : 3 hours
Price : 5 $ for the spray adhesive

Those little plastic tabs that go into the steel clips on the body get very brittle with age, and break off quite easily. Luckily, the door rubber will hold the trim panel in place even if you manage to break off all those clips - i know, because mine have.....

IF it breaks the clips and doesnt sit back properly, you could always get creative with some velcro.

I actually retrimmed the poor/dirty original front and rear pillars ASWELL as the headlining with all new material. Its a bit more of a tan colour now and all foam backed for a bit of sound deadening (not to mention the nice soft feel).

Quite a few hours work, even for me with a little previous experience...... but well worth it.

The best spray on adhesive ive used is made by 3M (not sure if you can get it in your country though)
