Throttle Cable HELP!!!

just the other day i was driving on the parkway in my e30 then all in a sudden I notice a lot of play in my gas pedel. Then I realized my car is stuck in the acceration postion and it keeps climbing with speed. I managed to get the car to stop by slamming on my brakes and pulling the e-brake.

How do I go about fixing this problem?? please anyone help.

sounds like a scary event. Was it the actual gas pedal stuck or the speed control?

it was the actual cable its self. I checked it out the other day and noticed it started stripping. thats probly why it got stuck.
