Hi everyone, New to this forum.
I recently aquired this bmw from my dad and it has so much sentimental value that I don't want to rid of it.
Recently the alternator went bad & it's bout time that this car gets some work done to it. (It's been sitting around for a good 2 years before I was able to rent a car from nor cal to tow it back to so cal)
I'm not even sure if it's the alternator, BUT I did buy a new battery a few months ago & now it's not charging. When you crank you do feel the starter want to turn over & there is spark but not enough battery to get it going.
I was wondering where I can obtain some information (i.e. service manuals?) to fixing up this car. I'm not even familiar with the drop in oil filters. I've always worked on my own cars but they're hondas/acuras so I'm not familiar with the way the engine is laid out in a bimmer. Not a car newb, but a bimmer newb.
Any help is appreciated.
