Just wanted to say hello to all other BMW owners out here. I just purchased my first BMW car but have owned 2 BMW motorcycles in the past....
I have a 2000 528i and it runs great...but.....every once in a while the service engine light comes on and the car runs rough. If I stop and then get back in the car runs fine and the light is not on anymore. I have an appointment for next week to get the car serviced. Any ideas why this might be happening?
Thanks!:dunno:

Hey there and Welcome to the fest......You should ask this question in the E39 forum......First try and see if you can do a search on this problem, and if you come up with nothing, then you should make a post about it in the E39 forum.......Can we see some pics of your car???? Anyways, good luck with your car:thumbup:

:thumbup:That option would be something to think about if it weren't for the fact that I have the mechanical abilities of a pet rock!!! I appreciate the info though!!
